Past literature has shown that teams are both hindered and enhanced by stress. When team stress is categorized as quantitative or qualitative this contradiction resolves. My initial meta-analysis results (k = 9, N = 1,794) indicate that quantitative stress has a negative effect on team outcomes (performance and effectiveness), ῤ = -.41.
